This is a brief note to let you know about the free distance learning training course we are currently providing for the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors.

The Certificate in Interpersonal Skills for Volunteers, run by the University of Wales, Lampeter (http://www.volstudy.ac.uk) has helped hundreds of people over the years improve their interpersonal skills. You don't need to be a volunteer to take advantage of this course, everybody can benefit from improved interpersonal skills.

At the moment the course is available free of charge for UK and EU residents who do not hold (and are not currently studying for) a degree or higher qualification.

The course is part-time distance learning with no exams. We have monthly start dates and our tutor support is second to none. The course is fully accredited by the University of Wales and can lead to a BA Degree in Voluntary Sector Studies.

Requests

• We need a Beaver Scout Leader and an Explorer Scout Leader to join the District Management Team.
• A Volunteer is required for Appointments Secretary as Christine Marshall has retired.
• We also need volunteers for the posts of District Treasurer and to assist in the Scout Shop.
